The Store

Greetings! The GM5-5U is what most would call a woodturning steady rest. It will hold a spindle or hollowing project still whilst still allowing it to turn. The design grew from a real lack of products available. Please explore the site to see what it is all about, and return here if you would wish to make a purchase. Happy turning, and happy shopping!

PayPal store

The store doesn't look fantastic, but it works and many people like to use PayPal as it gives buyers and sellers good protection. If you don't get your product, we wouldn't get away with it. Alternatively you may pay us via a bank transfer, or even by cheque. We are flexible!Just email if these methods are preferable!

We sell steady rests exactly as advertised and shown in our videos. They are made by Ken in Shropshire, UK from as of now Prime grade oak (15/8/2016) from FSC sources. We used to make them out of softwood - which although comparatively weaker in tension than oak, was still remarkably strong and well beyond anything thrown at it.

Please note the P&P costs are listed in the checkout. Once you have added items to your cart, click "view cart" to pay. The number of items you purchase can be changed in the cart.
